Weekenders
For over two decades, Horizons for the Blind has sponsored Weekenders, an outreach social group for EVERYONE.
Each month, the Weekenders travel throughout the Chicagoland area in search of good food, fun, festivals, nightlife and more! Weekenders is open to everyone. Call 815-444-8800, extension 4, for more information. If you wish to attend, annual membership is only $10.

Jazz takes on a new dimension through the human voice, blending iconic vocal standards like My Funny Valentine with vibrant adaptations of instrumental masterpieces by Gillespie, Ellington, and Coltrane. Reimagined classics like Birdland and Satin Doll are joined by a premiere from HerVoice competition winner Devon Gates, honoring jazz’s artistry and timeless legacy. Full-length concert program (110 mins including an intermission) recommended for ages 8+, enjoyable for all generations of the family!
Cost: Members $27 for adult if 10 or more tickets are sold | Non-Members $32 for adult if 10 or more tickets are sold, If less than 10 tickets are sold we contact you for the difference in price which is $11 More.
